Call Pake Salmon at 808-258-7253. The Big Island of Hawaii is appropriately named. It is very large and drive times between locations can take a long time. Many clients are unaware of the size when asking about certain locations for their Big Island wedding.

For example, one of the more famous locations is Punalu’u the most popular black sand beach in the Hawaiian Islands. The location often take 3-4 hours to drive to from where they are staying. Not only is this difficult to do on a wedding day but also can put difficulty on your selected wedding vendors. Many ministers and photographers will not make the drive. Those that will will expect a premium in their pay.

The Kona coast is a barren landscape for the most part with black lava rock. A few beach locations are more tropical such as Old Airport Beach and Kukio Beach along with those associated with hotel resorts. On the other side of the Island you have Hilo. In Hilo the opposite holds true. Their are not any good beach locations there. We usually use a more tropical park location called Liliuokalani Park and Gardens.
